Police Activities League

Police Activities League Mission Statement

To foster a positive relationship between police officers and our students. To create a bond between the police officer and the at risk, under privileged, homeless or abused child through athletics, recreational activities and educational programs. To give youth the opportunity to discover themselves, to gain self-esteem and a positive attitude toward police officers, our laws and society. To learn that there are other alternatives to gangs, drugs and crime and to see themselves fitting into a world they never knew existed.

Championship Bass Tournament

Police Activities League Tournament LogoIn the early spring of each year, we host our annual Championship Bass Tournament. Held on beautiful Lake Conroe in Montgomery county, this two day tournament draws many anglers for fun and prizes. Contestants vie for hourly cash prizes of $1,200 as well as other hourly prizes. All proceeds from the tournament, silent auction, bar-b-que sales and donations go to support the Police Activities League’s programs for our area youth.

Children In Santa's Dreams

Beginning in October of each year, the Conroe ISD Police Department starts this program to provide a Merry Christmas to as many children as possible. Area merchants, school staff, community members and students provide the presents that are then wrapped and distributed to families. Christmas 2014 saw us providing more than 522 children with a visit from Santa. Special thanks to those that work so hard each year. Collecting, wrapping and distributing the gifts is truly a community effort.

Summer Camps

This P.A.L. program offers a one week long summer camp to each of our five feeder patterns, free of charge. The students are picked up at satellite campuses and transported to a variety of areas for exciting activities. The students are provided lunch and two snacks before being transported back to the satellite campuses in the afternoon. We have sixteen successful years and thousands of satisfied students to our credit. Come on in, the water’s fine!
